I discovered something really funny last night. Watching Top Gear with my young son on my lap, I decided to search for pictures of the gorgeous Aston Martin Vantage, the car I lust after. I grabbed my iPhone, opened the Google Search app and, due to lack of free hands, put it into Voice Search mode. I told it what I wanted to search for ‘Aston Martin Vantage’ and it duly came up with pictures of the handsome beast.
My young son also seemed to find it interesting, as always, he was trying to grab my iPhone. So I had an idea. What would happen if I gave it to him when doing the voice search?
Curiosity piqued, I put it back into voice search mode, and let my baby babble away. Bearing in mind that he’s only 8 months old, the results were amazing!
1st try: (baby babbled some random sounds): Google’s results? ‘hello hello’! Astonished, I tried again.
2nd try (more random babble): Google result: ‘hey good call’. Wow, I thought!
3rd try (you guessed it, more randomness). Google’s result: ‘are you?’
4th try, Google’s result: ‘ack ack ack ack’. By this point I was in stitches.Who’d have thought that Google could translate for my baby!
So I got: ‘Hello, hello. Hey good call. Are you ack ack ack ack?’
Give it a try, it’s hysterical! Let me know what your baby says to you, I’d love to know!
